چکیده

Free-space channels provide the possibility of establishing continuous-variable quantum key distribution in global communication networks. However, fluctuating nature transmissivity these introduces an extra noise which reduces achievable secret rate. We consider two classical postprocessing strategies, postselection high-transmissivity data and clusterization, to reduce fluctuation-induced channel. undertake investigation such strategies utilizing a composable security proof realistic finite-size regime against both collective individual attacks. also present efficient parameter estimation approach estimate effective Gaussian parameters over postselected or clustered data. Although effects become more significant with clusterization reducing size data, our results show that are still able enhance rate attacks remarkable improvement attacks, even moving protocol from insecure secure under certain conditions.

Free-space quantum key distribution

Quantum cryptography was introduced in the mid1980s [1] as a new method for generating the shared, secret random number sequences, or cryptographic keys, that are used in crypto-systems to provide communications security. The appeal of quantum cryptography is that its security is based on laws of Nature, in contrast to existing methods of key distribution that derive their security from the per...

Free-Space Quantum Key Distribution

Quantum key distribution is the most advanced technology to arise from the emerging field of quantum information. In fact, a few companies (MaqiQ Technologies and id Quantique) already offer commercial quantum key distribution products. But why so much excitement over QKD when our standard techniques serve just fine? Well the thing is that our standard techniques are safe only under certain ass...

High-speed free-space optical continuous-variable quantum key distribution enabled by three-dimensional multiplexing.

A high-speed four-state continuous-variable quantum key distribution (CV-QKD) system, enabled by wavelength-division multiplexing, polarization multiplexing, and orbital angular momentum (OAM) multiplexing, is studied in the presence of atmospheric turbulence. The atmospheric turbulence channel is emulated by two spatial light modulators (SLMs) on which two randomly generated azimuthal phase pa...

Single-quadrature continuous-variable quantum key distribution

Most continuous-variable quantum key distribution schemes are based on the Gaussian modulation of coherent states followed by continuous quadrature detection using homodyne detectors. In all previous schemes, the Gaussian modulation has been carried out in conjugate quadratures thus requiring two independent modulators for their implementations. Here, we propose and experimentally test a largel...
